SANDERSVILLE, Ga. - Mr. Sam Collins, 79, of Sandersville died Sunday morning, May 6, 2001 in the Washington County Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, in the Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville.
Mr. Collins was a native and life long resident of Washington County, the son of the late William Matthews Collins and the late Alice Veal Collins. He was a pharmacist assistant for the Sandersville Drug Store and a member of the First Baptist Church of Sandersville. Mr. Collins attended Brewton Parker College.
Survivors are a sister, Vivian Collins Fitzgerald of West Palm Beach, Florida; and a cousin, Merial Buford of Augusta.
May and Smith Funeral Directors in Sandersville was in charge of the arrangements.
