Mr. Blackmon and Miss Dortch
United in Marriage.
At 10:30 o'clock Sunday a beautiful
home wedding occurred at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. A.A. Dortch, one mile
below Flat Rock. Their only daugh-
ter, Miss Effie Marie was Married to
Mr. Hollis H. Blackmon, of Columbus.
The attendants were Miss Mattie Jenk-
ins with Mr. Biggers and Miss Kate
Biggers with Mr. Will Taylor. The
wedding march was played by Miss
Katie Dudley, of Seale, Ala. The dec-
orations were of bamboo, chrysanthe-
mums and roses tastefully arranged.
The house was filled with friends of
the young couple, who brought them
many handsome presents as a token of
their good wishes. The marriage cer-
emony was performed by Rev. B. W.
Bussey, of Jamestown.

Gravesite Details
Effie Blackmon was originally buried in the Pickard Family Cemetery on Blackmon Rd. but was disinterred and moved to Park Hill.
