STILLWATER, Okla. — Wilma Jean Davis Adams was born on Dec. 27, 1930, in Pawnee County, Okla. to Estille Herman Davis and Faye Esther Scott Davis. She passed from this life on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, in Pawnee, Okla. having reached the age of 80 years, 1 month, and 16 days. She attended Grade School at Flora Valley and Lone Chimney with her very best friend, Violet "Mugs" Alley, and attended Pawnee High School and graduated with the Class of 1948. On March 5, 1949, she married the love of her life, Hollis Edward "Bunk" Adams, and he preceded her in death on July 16, 2004. Wilma Jean and Bunk lived and farmed together their entire married life. She worked for the United States Department of Agricultural for thirty-seven years, retiring on Jan. 15, 1993. She has been a member of the First Christian Church in Pawnee since 1952, and loved her church and served as Elder, Deacon, and Treasurer.

Wilma Jean is survived by her son Hollis Edward "Eddie" Adams II & his wife, Sheryl, Pawnee, Okla.; three grandsons, Ryan Adams, Cincinnati, Ohio Craig Adams & his wife, Dawn, Bixby, Okla. Darrin Adams, Swaziland, Africa; Great grandson, Elijah Hollis Adams, Bixby, Okla.; Sister-in-law, Iris Davis, California; Brother-in-law, Bill Adams, Pawnee, Okla.; Sister-in-law; Joyce Keeton & her husband, Jerry, Maramec, Okla.; Aunts, Eleanor Hughes, Albuquerque, N.M. Pauline Minnick, Stillwater, Okla.Plus a number of other relatives, and many friends.

She greatly loved her nieces and nephews who brought great joy to her and Uncle Bunk, and she loved and was lovingly cared for by her caregivers, Paula Crippen, Liz Hoover, and Melissa Mendez.

Besides her husband, Bunk, she was preceded in death by her parents, Estille and Faye Davis; her brother, Dale Davis, and her nephew, Mike Davis.

Memorial Services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at the First Christian Church, Pawnee, Okla., with Rev. Tom Scott officiating. A private family interment will be held prior to the memorial service at Highland Cemetery, Pawnee, Okla., under the direction of Poteet Funeral Home.
