Orrin is the son of Gilbert & Annis (Stone) Buckingham. We was married twice 1) to Frances (Lewis) Buckingham and had 3 children. 2)Hannah (Swift) Buckingham and had 4 children. His first wife died in Great Bend,PA, he remarried and about 1859 came to Michigan to live with his brother William in Marshall, Michigan and the moved to Watertown Township in Ingham County. About 1864 he and his family moved to Attica Township, Lapeer County were he built his farm and a saw mill. He built the Buckingham School which still stands today along with the orginal farm house.
