Inscription

In memory of Mr. Josiah Hill, who died Aug. 31, 1805, æt. 85.

Stop, passenger, 'tis worth your pains to stay;
And take a dead man's lesson by the way;
I was what now thou art, but soon you'll be
What I am now, O! think of death and me.
Death is the door! the door to heaven and hell;
Be warned, be armed, believe, repent, farewell.
