Emma married Milo Grant Allen on 30 March 1902 at the residence of Milo's parents in Hayes, Clark[e] County, Washington.

Note: The marriage return and certificate, on Washington Digital Archives, both have Emma's middle name as Lorene, however family indicates it is Lodema, like her daughter, Clara.

EMMA L. ALLEN

Mrs. Emma L. Allen, 84, a resident of Castle Rock for the past 30 years, died Friday night in a Centralia nursing home.

She was born Sept. 25, 1886 in Woodland. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Castle Rock and the Women's Christian Temperance Union, Castle Rock.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Clara Hunton, Longview; three sons, Leonard (Bud) Allen, Morton, Eldon Allen, Vader and Clifford Allen, Winlock; two sisters, Mrs. Rachel Bennett and Miss Etta Backman, Longview, 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Woodland Christian Church, with the Rev. [F..?] Johnson officiating. Burial will be follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Woodland. Arrangements are under the direction of Newell-Hoerling's Centralia.
