Goldie P. Benner 96 of Richmond died January 13, 2011 at Forest Park Health Campus after a short illness. She was born September 7, 1914 in Richmond to August A. and Callie Maines Kettler and lived in Richmond all her life.

Goldie formerly worked for Belden Corporation, Palladium-Item, City of Richmond Engineer's Office, AVCO, and Crosley. She was a former member of Trinity Methodist Church, Ramblin' Roses and the Richmond Senior Community Center, and she enjoyed antiques.

Survivors include four children Richard (Sheila) Benner of Cincinnati, Ohio, David (Linda) Benner of Longmont, Colorado, Rebecca Benner of Richmond, and Charles "Chuck" (Gwen) Benner of Glendale, Wisconsin, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one brother Louis (Doris) Kettler of Richmond, one sister Vera Burns of Scotts, Michigan, nieces and nephews.

Her husband Charles R. Benner died September 13, 1986, her parents, five sisters Hazel Vogt, Thelma Phenis, Ruthellen Pegg, Alice Vannatta, and Elma Silliman, three brothers Carl Kettler, August Kettler Jr., and Robert Kettler are also deceased.

Funeral services will be 1:30 PM Sunday January 16, 2011 at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with David Garman officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Friends may call 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
