Mrs. Joyce Evelyn Bailey, age 90, of Pearland, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2011 at her residence. She was born February 17, 1920 in the Creek Community and was a resident of Pearland for the past 43 years. Mrs. Bailey was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a loving mother and loved her family.
Survivors include daughters, Pamela Jo Mickler of Pearland, Melanie Dowdy and husband, Randy of Creek; grandchildren, Aaron and Emily Woodard of McKinney, Erin Elaine Mickler of Lake Jackson, Cody Woodard of Pearland; great-granddaughter, Rylyn Mickler of Lake Jackson; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Preceded in death by husband, Joe E. Bailey; parents, James David and Willie B. McCullar; brother, Kirby and sisters, Helen, Jimmie and Maxine.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Evelyn Bailey will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Creek Cemetery. Interment will follow.
