Bessie Oswalt Kigar, 91
Bessie Oswalt Kigar, 91, mother of Ronald Lee Oswalt of rural Bluffton, died at 6:20 a.m. today, April 4, at Meadowvale Health & Rehabilitation Center in Bluffton. She had been in failing health since 1994.
Mrs. Kigar, a homemaker, was a longtime resident of Wells County and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Bluffton.
She was born at West Frankfort, Ill., Dec. 3. 1910 to A.R. and Bertha Kigar Martin. Her first marriage was to Wilford S. Oswalt, who died May 31, 1964; her second marriage was to R. Dale Kigar, who died Feb. 22, 1980.
Surviving, in addition to the son, who resides at 4029E St. Rd. 124, are a brother, Floyd Martin of Champagne, Ill.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Four brothers and four sisters are deceased.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Thoma/Rich, Hewitt & Chaney Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Graeflin officiating. Burial will be in Stahl Cemetery in Wells County.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 2 to 8 p.m.
