Andrew was the husband of Anna Spirak and father of Mary, Anna, John and Frank Stephen Berta. Andrew and Anna arrived at Ellis Island on June 16, 1900 from Tihany, Hungary, where he was a farmer, to live near his older brother, Mihaly "Michael", in Brooklyn, New York.
