EKSTRAND, Florence J. 95, passed away Jan. 15, 2011. Born in Kansas City, MO, she proudly served as a WAVE in the U.S. Navy during WWII. She lived in the Chicago area until moving to St. Petersburg in 1965. Florence worked as a real estate agent for many years. She will be dearly missed by her husband, of 63 years, Dr. Richard Ekstrand; two daughters, Christina & Anne; two sons, Richard & Paul; two granddaughters, Vanessa (Kevin) Hurst & Emily Ekstrand, and one great-grandson, Garrett Hurst. She is also survived by her identical twin, Ruth Osterberg of Winthrop Harbor, IL and her brother, Edward Alder & his wife June, of Bradenton. Burial will take place at Bay Pines National Cemetery.
