Michael was a Marine in WWII, serving on Guadal Canal and other islands. Me got his younger brother, Paul, also signed up as a Marine.
He enjoyed hunting and oil painting.
Although he was actually the third Michael Joseph, he was called "Jr." by his family his whole life.
His only child died at age 24.
