Roy C. Schmerbauch, 77 of Collinsville, Illinois was born June 25, 1993 in Mascoutah, Illinois, and died on January 26, 2011 at his home.
Roy retired from Granite City steel after 40 years. He was a life member of Masonic Lodge 504 in Fairview Heights, Illinois, and the Scottish Rite. He was also a 32nd degree Shriner. He was a member of American Legion Post 365 and VFW Post 5692, both in Collinsville, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Julia (Sutton) Schmerbauch, two sisters - Pauline (Lewis) and Blanch (Nix); six brothers - Charles, Marcus, Joseph, Daniel, Arthur, and Eugene Schmerbauch; and one grandson - Dustin Murphy.
Surviving are his wife, Bonnie (Ware) Schmerbauch of Collinsville; daughters - Kimberly, Lynne and Jennifer, son Thomas ; grandchildren - Scott, Christine, Katie, MacKenzie, Jason and Samantha; great grandchildren - Jonathan, Kaley, and Brenden; sisters - Ella, Viola, Dorothy; and brothers Erwin, Jack, and Robert.
