Married Vera M. Henry, daughter of William and Elizabeth Henry. Elizabeth, "Aunt "Lizzie", as she became known to family and friends alike, was the daughter of Andrew and Elizabeth Parker Henry. Her parents had come to Arkansas from York County, South Carolina in 1856 with six children and six slaves, traveling in four covered wagons.
Vera died in December of 1970 and is buried in the family plot in Pisgah Cemetery. Ernest was 86 years and 6 months at the time of his death and is also buried in the family plot in Pisgah Cemetery.
The daughters of Ernest and Vera Allmon are:
Mrs. Ernestine McKinney, Little Rock
Mrs. Lucile Mack, wife of the late Lester David Mack in exarkana, died in 1960.
Ernest Allmon had a younger brother named Clarence V. Allmon who married Lois Talley and lives in Russellville.
