Carolyn Toney Duckett, of Roanoke, Va., passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 20, 2011. She was born on September 16th to the late Charlie and Etheline Toney. Her surviving family includes her devoted husband, Reginald Duckett Sr.; her two affectionate sons, Reginald Jr. (Holly) Duckett, of Chesapeake, Va. and Kevin (Teresa) Duckett, of Suffolk, Va.; five adorable grandchildren, Xavier, Hayley, Zachary, Jalen and Gabrielle; two uncles, Clifton (Marie) Wade and Ralph (Rachel) Wade; one aunt, Cassie Wade; a special cousin, Artie (Kevin) Woodard; the Toney and Wade families; three brothers-in-law, Shirley Bernard Duckett, James Richard (Janet) Duckett and Harold Duckett; four sisters-in-law, Anita Wilson, Patricia (Fred) Baker, Lowan Duckett and Donna (Ron) Williams; a loving niece, Sheyonn Baker; special, lifelong buddies, Diane Jones and Peggy Simms; and a host of aunts; uncles; nephews; nieces, cousins, family and friends. The Homegoing Celebration will be held at Sweet Union Baptist Church with Dr. E.T. Burton, officiating on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Williams Memorial Park.
