Karren L. Albertson, 35, of Toulon, died at 3:59 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
Born March 28, 1970, in Peoria, Ill., she was the daughter of Phillip and Teri Fell Albertson.
Preceding her in death was a paternal grandfather, Merton Lee.
Surviving are her parents, one brother, one sister, her maternal grandparents and paternal grandmother. Aunts, uncles and cousins.
Karren was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church, Wyoming, Ill.
She was a graduate of Toulon High School in 1988 and from Western Illinois University in 1993 with a B.A. in sociology. She was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority at Western Illinois University. She worked as a teacher's aide and day-care teacher at numerous schools and businesses. She received her certified nursing certificate in 2004.
Karren fought colon cancer for nearly nine years.
