Edith A. Cameron, 92, of Westport, died Sunday, January 16, 2011 at Norwalk Hospital. Edith was born in Mohawk, NY and moved from Albany, NY to Westport in 1956. For over 55 years she worked in the Nuts, Bolts and Fasteners Industry. She was a devoted volunteer at St. Luke Parish, having been honored as a 2005 St. Augustine Medal of Service recipient. She was involved with the Republican Party in Westport, was an avid bowler, and during her free time she enjoyed being with her family. She is survived by a niece, Donna Burke of IL; a nephew, David P. Bub of NJ and several great nieces and great nephews. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday at 8:15 am from the Fairfield Funeral Home of Edmund W. Dougiello, 36 South Pine Creek Road and at 9 a.m. in St. Luke Church in Westport with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands, NY. Friends may call on Wednesday (Today) from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Edith's memory to St. Luke Parish, 84 Long Lots Road, Westport, CT, 06880.
