Edward Starr Brown, little son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl C. Brown, died at 1:40 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the family residence, 820 West William street. Ha was five years old. He was ill two weeks. He was stricken with an unusually severe attack of Influenza. At the end of the first week he showed some Improvement, but complications developed, causing his death. Edward was born in Decatur Aug. 29, 1913. He was a most attractive manly little boy, making many friends in his loveable and original ways. He was a member of the Child Culture kindergarten conducted by
Miss Requarth and of the primary department of the First Presbyterian Sunday school. He is survived by his parents, one sister, Betty Brown, and four grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Brown of Mattoon and Dr. and Mrs Starr of Charleston, Ill. The funeral will be held at 1:30 o'clock this afternoon at the residence. The services will be conducted by Rev. W. S. Dando, and owing to the nature of the illness will be private.
