Margaret Sparkman Pressnell

Funeral for Margaret Sparkman Pressnell, 80, of Decatur, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. R.A. VanLandingham officiating.

Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 4 to 7 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Pressnell died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born Dec. 26, 1922, in Decatur to Annis Wallace and Tennis Sparkman. She was a homemaker and a member of Ninth Street United Methodist Church. She was affiliated with Friends of the Wallace Center. She was the mother of the late Lewis Matthews.

Survivors include her husband, Clifford Pressnell; one stepson, Wayne Pressnell of Madison; one stepdaughter, Loretta McNatt of Russellville; two sisters, Ruth Butler and Mildred Stephenson, both of Decatur; one brother, Bill Sparkman of Tuscaloosa; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Ray Stephenson, Stewart Stephenson, Wes Stephenson, Don Reeder, Brad Aycock and Daniel Aycock.
