George was a very interesting personality. He had very poor beginnings, but he never gave up on anything. He was a self-taught person. If he wanted to do anything, he did not give up on it. He was a carpenter, an operating engineer of heavy machinery, and farmer. The one thing that he accomplished was to fly a small airplane. He was 69 years old when he got his single engine land flying certificate from the "Dept. of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration". We have two children, seven grandchildren & eight great-grandchildren. All still living as of this day in Sept. 9, 2016. We all miss him and he is loved dearly.
Follow up on grandchildren. We now in February 2020 have two more great-grandchildren & two great-great-grandchild.
