I LOVE YOU DAD
This was my dad. The Greatest man whoever lived. My first Love.
A native of Helena, Montana, he lived his later years in Fairfield,CA. for 10 years.

Joined the U.S. Navy in 1944 and served as a gunners mate 3rd class during World War II in the Pacific. Upon his discharge in 1946, he married Mary Frances Burt McFarland, June 29, 1946, and moved to California. He was a truck driver for the Teamsters, and served as vice president and business agent for Teamster Local No. 315 for six years and as job steward for Safeway Stores for 12 years. He was a member of the LOE (Loyal Order of Eagles).

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf and baseball. His favorite baseball player was Duke Snider of the Brooklyn Dodgers, but his favorite team was the San Francisco Giants. He also enjoyed cooking, and often did so for his family. He was a descendent of the Hubbard family who came here on the Mayflower.

Grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, Brendan, Jason, Timothy, Lisa, and Mallory. Will miss him deeply.
He has Nine great-grandchildren, whom he never met: Heather Michelle B-10-05-2005, and Alexander James B- 7-31-06, Morgan McKenzie B-3-8-07,Kaitlyn Rose B-3-29-08, Taylor Lynn B-02-18-09, Wyatt Colt B-07-08-2010 and Madison Grace B-04-20-2011, Brooke Lorraine B-07-09-2012 and Skylar Jayde 12-18-2013.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Burt McFarland,in 1981.
Cause of Death: Peripheral Vascular Disease.
Aged 76 years
Dad joined Mom on May 11, 2002. Heaven is a much better place now that they are together again.

Wish Heaven had a phone so I could hear your voice again. I thought of you today, but that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday, and days before that too. I think of you in silence, I often speak your name. All I have are memories and a picture in a frame. Your memory is a keepsake, from which I'll never part.... God has you in his arms, I have you in my heart!

God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it...
Dad
