Ellenville, Aug. 26 – Mrs. Mary B. Eck died at her home here on Sunday, August 11, after an illness of several weeks at the age of 80 years. She was born in Ellenville on June 14, 1855, the daughter of Leonard Boat and Maria DeWitt Boat, both of Holland. Mrs. Eck was married at Amsterdam on August 22, 1870, to Ferdinand Eck, but had lived most of her life in this vicinity. She was a member of the Dutch Reformed Church and of the Ladies' Aid Society of that Church. Surviving are four sons, George, Henry, William and Edward Eck, and three daughters, Mrs. Herbert Townsend, Mrs. Calvin Morse and Mrs. John Wynkoop, Jr., all of Ellenville. Funeral services were held at the home on Wednesday, August 14, conducted by the Rev. Perry Van Dyke of the Reformed Church. Burial was in the Ellenville cemetery.
