John Carl Anderson, 95, Fergus Falls, died Thursday, March 10, at Broen Memorial Nursing Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 14, at the Broen Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Nedrud officiating. Burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Anderson was born May 30, 1892, in Vang, N.D., the son of Gustav and Johanna Anderson. He served in the armed forces during World War I, returning to North Dakota after the war. He worked as a mechanic, mail carrier and a carpenter in North Dakota. He was married to Ann Giersdal, Evelyn Richotte and Bertha Scherrette, who all preceded him in death.
He was a resident of the Bathgate Nursing Home in Northwood, N.D.. before entering the Broen Home four years ago.
He is survived by three daughters, Laura Fowler of Fergus Falls, Ida Helvick of Crookston and Mrs. William (Alma) Goetzinger of Seattle. Wash.; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; four sisters, Esther Clover of Boise, Idaho, Florence Wyman of Devils Lake, N.D., Juliana Keisacker of Lakota, N.D., and Gladys Tutila of Minneapolis; and two brothers. J.C. of Boise, Idaho, and Gordon of Robbinsdale.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Monday at the Broen Home. Arrangements are with Glende Johnson Nelson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls
