-- CHESTER - The funeral for Mr. John William Burnette of 1809 Atkinson Road will be conducted at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 20, at Armenia United Methodist Church. The Rev. Judson King will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Burnette, 66, died Monday, March 17, 2008.

Born in Claxton, Ga. on June 27, 1941, he was a son of Irene W. Isenhower. Mr. Burnette was retired from DOW Chemical and attended Armenia United Methodist Church.

Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Margaret Hammond Burnette; a son, Todd Burnette of Gainesville, Ga.; a daughter, Kim Smith and her husband, Chris, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two stepsons, Ward Conley of Clover and Doug Conley and his wife, Sabrina, of Rock Hill; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends anytime at the residence, 1809 Atkinson Road, Chester.

Memorials may be made to Hospice and Community Care, P.O. Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731.
