Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, Rock Island. Burial is in National Cemetery, Rock Island, with military rites conducted by American Legion Post 246.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, 6601-38th Ave., Moline.
Wayne was born Jan. 30, 1926, in Beaverton, Ala., the son of Vewis and Florence Cantrell Seals. He married Betty Warren Aug. 6, 1951, in Fulton, Miss.
Wayne was employed at the John Deere Foundry retiring in 1982. He was a Navy veteran of World War II serving on the aircraft carrier USS Lake Champlain in the Pacific. Wayne was a charter member of the Mississippi Valley Country & Western Music Association. A versatile musician whose love of music encompassed many different styles, Wayne enjoyed sharing his original recordings from his home studio with his friends and family in the community. He was very active in the Baptist church.
Survivors (and spouses) are his wife, Betty; daughters, Debbie (Dan) Barrett, Becky (Steve) DeJonghe, Kim (Joe) Brown; son, Jim (Judy) Seales; seven grandchildren; brothers and sister, Josh, Dick and Jewel, all of Alabama. He was preceded in death by son, Jacky W. Seales; daughter-in-law Joy; brother Gene and sister Caroline.
