Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31, 2005, at a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro for Christy Credeur, 25, the former Christy Ann Buck, who passed away Friday, Oct. 28, 2005.
Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro. The Rev. Bill Melancon, pastor of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.
Musical selections will be provided by Julie Broussard, accompanied by Phyllis Simar on the organ. The songs will be "Just A Closer Walk With Thee", "The Wind Beneath My Wings", "Amazing Grace", "J'Irai La Voir Un Jour", "I'll Fly Away" and "The Old Rugged Cross".
Mrs. Credeur was a native and lifelong resident of Breaux Bridge. She was employed with Stuller's Settings. Christy was a dedicated wife, mother, sister and daughter and she lived her life for her family and especially for her children.
Survivors include her husband, Chad Credeur, of Breaux Bridge; two sons, Dylan Credeur and Logan Credeur, of Breaux Bridge; one daughter, Kaitlyn Credeur, of Breaux Bridge; her mother, the former Iris Landry and step-father, Harold Burleigh, of Carencro; maternal grandfather, Eric Landry, of Carencro; paternal grandmother, Helen Buck, of Franklinton; three brothers, Bobby Lee and his wife, Chastity, and Roger Buck, all of Lafayette and John Eric Lee and his wife, Ramona Boutte, of Breaux Bridge; one step-sister, Shelly Dew and her husband, Jerry, of Zwolle, La.; and two step-brothers, Joey Burleigh, of Carencro and Marcus Burleigh and his wife, Mindy, of Lafayette; and four godchildren, Garrette Lee, Cody Foreman, Sarah Lee and Cainan Michael Buck.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Ada Duhon and her father-in-law, Michael Credeur.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Lee, John Eric Lee, Roger Buck, Chad Credeur, Marcus Burleigh, David Quebedeaux and Garrett Lee.
Honorary pallbearers will be Edmond Anderson and Cory Landry.
