JoAnn Adams Griffin, 68 of Jesup, Ga. died Saturday, January 8, 2011 at her residence after an extended illness.

The Quitman, Ga. native had lived in Wayne County, Ga. for 45 years and was a member of Jesup First Baptist Church and the Laverne Phillips Bennett Sunday School Class.

She was a former 20 year employee of the Minit Stop on Rayonier Road in Jesup and loved her family, church work, meals ministry and helping others.

Survivors are her husband of 52 years: Herman Griffin of Jesup, Ga.; daughters: Donna Briscoe, J.J. Daniels, both of Savannah, Ga.; Stacey Griffin of Atlanta, Ga.; a son: Scott Griffin of Palm Harbor, Fla.; several siblings; grandchildren: Marissa Rollins, Griffin Briscoe, Nicolas Griffin, Graysen Griffin, Ashton Griffin, Davis Griffin, Matthew Griffin, Faith Daniels, and Christian Daniels; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. prior to services from Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2010 from Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Dr. Mike Von Moss officiating.

Interment will be in the Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Mark Bennett, Edwin Anderson, Charlie Leggett, Joe Tyre, Barney Corbitt, Jr., Ronald Mercer, Danny Stephens, and Doug Stephens. Honorary pallbearers will be the Laverne Phillips Bennett Sunday School Class of Jesup First Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice of South Georgia Building Fund, 117 Drennon Drive, Jesup, Ga. 31545; Jesup First Baptist Church Finishing with Faith, P.O. Box 1115, Jesup, Ga. 31598.
