R.L.GARRETT, 68, SUCCUMBS IN ASHEBORO
Asheboro-Raymond L. Garrett, 68, died about 6:25 p.m. yesterday at his home on S. Cox Street here after suffering a sudden illness. He had been employed for the past 35 years by the Big Bear food chain in its High Point and Asheboro stores. He had spent the last 16 years in Asheboro.
Surviving are his second wife, Mrs. Annie Garrett of the home; one daughter, Mrs. H. T. Frazier Jr. of High Point; two sons, Raymond L. Garrett, Jr., and J. Kenneth Garrett, both of High Point, and one sister, Mrs. Herbert Luquer of Jamestown.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Asheboro. The body will remain at Farlow Funeral Home until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. Members of the Millsap Bible Class will serve as pallbearers.
