Maxine Countz, 95, of Van Buren, died Saturday, January 1, 2011 at Summit Medical Center in Van Buren.
The daughter of Daniel Ralph Harris and Effie Crownover Harris, she was born September 8, 1915 in Rover.
She was a member of the Methodist Church in Ola. She enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and working crosswords in her free time.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Countz; her parents; three brothers; and three sisters.
She is survived by her son, Gary Countz and wife Sharon of Wynne; her daughter, Dana Patterson of Van Buren; four grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and three sisters-in-law.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Sandlin Cemetery in Ola by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service at Sandlin Cemetery.
