Clarks Hill - Lee D Nydegger, 83, of 11742 S. county road 975 E., died at 6:20 AM Sunday, April 9, 2000, in St Mary Health Care Center. He had been seriously ill for two months. He was born on April 10, 1916, in Clarks Hill, and was a lifelong resident. For 41 years he was a heavy equipment and crane operator at Western Indiana Aggregates and remained there after it became Medusa Aggregates, retiring in 1980. On July 26, 1949, he married Ina Mae Graham in Lafayette, and she died on January 24, 1986. Mr Nydegger was an Army veteran, serving during World War II. He was also a member of Dayton United Methodist Church. Surviving are two sons, Larry W Nydegger (wife: Florence) and Steven W Nydegger (wife: Lisa), both of Lafayette; a stepson, George R. Hulett of Monticello; and a stepdaughter, Joyce M Rock of Lafayette. Interment at Johnson Cemetery, Stockwell. Surviving are 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by 3 sons, Bobby, Eddy and Ronald Lee Nydegger. Memorials to American Cancer society.
