Jeanne Grammond, 91, longtime Superior resident, died peacefully Thursday, Dec 23, 2010 at Golden Living Center, Superior. She was born on May 30, 1919 in Superior to Edwin J and Jennie (Dugan) Anderson.

She was a longtime member of Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and worked in the Grief Ministry Program. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court 1190, Bridge Club, Red Hat Ladies Society, Crafty Ladies, Retired Senior Volunteer Program and UCT.

Jeanne loved to knit afghans for her grandchildren, taught at Cathedral School and was an avid Bridge player. She enjoyed dancing with Lawrence Welk and traveling to Florida and the Virgin Islands. She learned how to drive at the age of 50 following her husband's death and continued employment at Globe News and Northwest Community Action to help raise her children. Jeanne had many, many friends and will be very missed by friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred; parents; grandchildren, Ann Boeger and Joe Grammond; great-granddaughter, Brianna Grammond; and brothers, Edwin and George Anderson.

Jeanne is survived by four daughters, Nancy (Jack) Siprut of Chicago, IL, Jane (Ken) Sedlachek Jr, Superior, Mary (Mide Boerger) Grammond, Beaver Dam, WI and Susan Grammond, Boynton Beach, FL; three sons, Fred (Sylvia), Chippewa Falls, WI, William (Colleen), Wascott and Joe (Deena) of Superior; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Gert Payton, Superior; brother, William Anderson of Cape Coral, FL; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers for the service will be Paul Grammond, Jason Sedlachek, Mickey Boerger, Melissa Grammond, Elizabeth Siprut, Andrea Sedlachek, Maria Mahalik and Charles Grammond. Burial will be in St Francis Cemetery.
