HOMER, LA - Services for Blanche Bays, 87, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2004 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home-Homer Chapel. Officiating will be Dr. John Markley. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery.
Mrs. Bays, a resident of Homer, LA. died Wednesday, December, 31, 2003 at Homer Memorial Hospital. She was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Bays, Parents, Willis and Willie Brantley, three brothers, Van Brantley, Billy Brantley, and James Benton Brantley.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Harvey and husband, Buck of Monroe,LA; one brother, Thomas E. Brantley and wife, Burnelle of Ruston, LA; three grandchildren, Randall Atkins, Penny Johnson and Jody Atkins; five great-grandchildren, Brandy Atkins, Thomas Lambert, Tiffany Johnson, Matthew Johnson and Brian Atkins; and one great-grandson, Joseph Randall Atkins.
Pallbearers will be Randall Atkins, Jody Atkins, Terry Johnson, Rodney Hollenshead, Ricky Bearden and Rusty Gilbert.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church.
