Leona M. Eller, 91, of Remington, died at 6:05 a.m. Tuesday at the Rensselaer Care Center.
The daughter of Sophary and Salina (Brees) Brucker, she was born Dec. 12, 1896, in Kentland.
She was married June 11, 1918, in Kentland, to Roscoe Eller, who died in 1980. She lived on the farm in Benton County until 1943 then moved to Remington. She was a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary 280 of Remington and was a past most excellent chief of the Pythian Sisters of Remington.
Survivors include one daughter, June Goodnight, Remington; and one brother, Lyle Brucker, Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by seven sisters.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m today at the Stitz Funeral Home in Remington, with the Rev. Thomas McGilliard officiating. Burial followed in the Remington Cemetery.
