Sarah Lavener Woodyard King

She is buried underneath an old magnolia next to the fence. On the other side of the fence is a railroad track, which can be seen in the photo in the upper left corner.

Closeup view of where Franklin and Sarah King are buried, beneath a huge old magnolia tree.

The grave with the dappled sunlight on it is Franklin King. The grave to the left in complete shade is Sarah King. She is buried behind him in the next row.

Map of Elmwood Cemetery showing the location of the grave site of Franklin and Sarah King.

They are buried in the Fowler section next to the fence. The lady in the front office (Cottage, on the map) told me that the Fowler section was reserved for people who had not reserved a burial plot in the cemetery. The graves are arranged in chronological order of burial. Franklin King is buried beside an old magnolia. Sarah King is buried behind him in the next row. It appears that the cemetery tried to place her as close to her husband as possible. There are no other King graves in that section.
