CHERASIA Faith M., 71, of Toms River, passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 12th, 2010. She was born in Passaic and lived in Wood-Ridge for many years before moving to Toms River. She spent 15 years working tirelessly for Lacey Easter Seals and was the recipient of the "Easter Seals NJ Miracle Worker Award" for her work with special needs people. She also spent many years involved with the Navesink Hunting Retriever Club with her husband Peter training and breeding her beloved Labrador Retrievers. She is predeceased by her younger brother David Manser. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Peter E. Cherasia, her two sons Peter D and his wife Peggy Cherasia and his other son Carl E. Cherasia. She is also survived by her younger sister Marcella and her husband Jack DeRosa of Forked River and her brother Spencer and his wife Barbara Manser of Rutherford. She also has four loving grandchildren Victoria Cherasia, Alexandra Cherasia, Spencer Cherasia and her youngest Hunter Cherasia. Visiting will be Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Rd, Toms River. Funeral Thursday arrive at the Funeral Home 8:30 AM Funeral Mass to follow 9:30 at St Justin R.C. Church, Toms River, interment St Joseph Cemetery, Toms River.
