She married Luther Armstrong on April 18, 1951 in Orangeville, Texas.
She attended Amity High School and graduated in 1950. She worked as a cook at the Whitewright Schools for 21 years and Whitewright Nursing Home for 15 years. She enjoyed being outside working in her yard and visiting with neighbors and friends. She loved spending time with her grandkids.
She is survived by her sons, Jeff Armstrong and Joel Armstrong, both of Whitewright; 4 grandchildren; sisters, Rachel Carr of Alpine, Arkansas and May Williams of Point Cedar, Arkansas; numerous neices and nephews.She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
