Funeral for Carmack Burdette was Wednesday at Franklin Memorial Chapel, with Sonny Sansom, Fay Cornwell and Myron Keith officiating. Burial was in Leiper's Fork Cemetery. Mr. Burdette, a resident of West Main Street, died Sunday, Feb. 7, at Decatur County Hospital at the age of 82. A native of Williamson County, he was an employee of the State of Tennessee Highway department, and a member of Leiper's Fork Church of Christ. Survivors include two sons Max Burdette of Decaturville and Jim Burdette of Evansville, Ind.; three daughters, Mrs. J.W. (Marie) Hogan of Franklin, Mrs. Bill (Judy) Mabry of Columbia and Mrs. Richard (Betty) Jackson of Franklin; two brothers, R.B. Burdette of New Castle, Ind., and Buford Burdette of Mt. Pleasant; three sisters, Mrs. Nanny King and Mrs. Cecil Toone both of Franklin, and Mrs. Lizzie Armstrong of Nashville; 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
