Mary L. Arrowsmith, 72, of Hanna City passed away at 1:35 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, at her residence.

She was born June 22, 1938, in Brimfield, Ill., the daughter of Hubert and Hilda (Doubet) Porter. She married Bill Arrowsmith on Feb. 8, 1958.

He survives, along with her two beloved grandchildren, Stephanie and Justin Arrowsmith, both of Trivoli; daughter-in-law, Sherry Arrowsmith of Trivoli; brother, Gary (Doris) Swearingen of Pekin; sister, Betty (Rollie) Defreitas of Germantown Hills; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, William Paul Arrowsmith, who passed away April 19, 1997; her parents; and her stepfather, Frank Swearingen.

She worked at C & H Printing in Peoria for 10 years.

As per Mary's request, cremation rites will be accorded. Her ashes will be buried next to her son in Trivoli Cemetery at a later date.
