(Penton) Bebe Abernathy, 93, of Penton died Sunday, September 13, 1998, in Dadeville.

Funeraql services were at Mt. Hickory Primitive Baptist Church at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, with interment in the church cemetery. The Rev. James Duke officiated.

Mrs. Abernathy is survived by one daughter, Mimsye Owen of dadeville; one son, Jerry Abernathy of LaFayette; two sisters, Mary F. Burton of Birmingham and Johnnie F. LeSueur of Columbus, Georgia; four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Abernathy was born in Chambers County on August 8, 1905. She taught school for many years and later worked in the lunchroom at the Milltown School. She was a member of Milltown Methodist Church.

Arrangementd were by Sanders Funeral Home, LaFayette.
