Funeral services for Cass Alexander Reasor of Collinsville Care Home were held Tuesday, June 9, at 2 pm at Vernie Keel Chapel in Gainesville. He died Sunday, June 7, at the Medical Plaza Hospital in Sherman. He was 90-years-old.
Bro. Hugh Newsom and George Jones conducted the services.
Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery under the direction of Vernie Keel Funeral Home, Gainesville.
Mr. Reasor was born on October 29, 1890, in Collinsville, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John J. Reasor. He married Lela Renfro in 1907. She preceded him in death in 1943. He married Ollie Cox in 1944. She preceded him in death in 1970. He married Jewel Farmer on May 19, 1974 at the Collinsville Care Home.
He was a minister for 59 years and a member and pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church for 25 years.
Survivors include: his wife, Jewel, of Collinsville; two sons, Cass W. Reasor of Pilot Point and Lewis Cox of Collinsville; three daughters, Estelle Brown of Oklahoma City, Okla., Ovva McGlasson of Hartsel, Colo., and Lucille Lynch of Farmers Branch; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
