Retired Farmer Lived Here 34 Years

John Henry McMullen, died at 3 a. m. today at his home, 230 West Sherman ave., at the age of 80 years. He had lived in Peoria 34 years and was retired farmer.

The son of John H. and Elizabeth Rock McMullen he was born at Elmwood, Ill., April 6, 1863 and married Iona L. Moore at Brimfield January 18, 1888. Engaged in farming the greater part of his life. Mr. McMullen retired in 1920. He was a member of the Texas Methodist church and a member of the Modern Woodmen of America, both at Trivoli.

He leaves a widow, two daughters, Mrs. Eva E. Sibrel, Rock Island; Mrs. Ione L. Collins, Normal; two sons Ernest C. and Raymond J. McMullen, both of Peoria, a brother Harry R. McMullen, also of this city: five grandchildren and on great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p. m. Monday at Wilton mortuary with Rev. J. Blount of Arrowsmith officiating. Interment will be a Parkview cemetery friends may call at the mortuary tomorrow afternoon and evening.
