Agnes Angeline Frank, 79, of Mount Olive died at 12:30 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2007, at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield. She was born Nov. 7, 1927, in Mount Olive, the daughter of the late John Verespey and the late Mary Jatcko. She married William Loy Frank on Aug. 7, 1948, at Holy Trinity Church in Mount Olive.

Mrs. Frank attended Mount Olive public schools, graduated from Mount Olive High School with the class of 1945 and received an associate's degree from Saint Louis University School of Finance in 1947. She first worked at Purina Farms in St. Louis and then retired from the Macoupin County Clerk's Office in 1992 after 23 years of service. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church in Mount Olive, Altar and Rosary Society and an officer of the First Catholic Ladies Slovak Union. She was a member of Mount Olive VFW Auxillary Post 5790. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and Notre Dame football fan. She loved playing pinochle and watching "The Price is Right" and loved being part of the grandchildren's activities.

Surviving are her husband, William Loy Frank of Mount Olive; two daughters, Marcia (Mike) Walter of Girard and Donna Frank of St. Louis; son, Bill (Susan) Frank of Brighton, Mich.; three grandchildren, Mary (Mike) McMillan of Danville, Michael (Lisa) Walter of Athens and Sarah Magdelan of Brighton, Mich.; great-grandchildren, Marissa, Dustin and Devin; and sister, Ann Biondo of Mount Clemons, Mich.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Jatcko Verespey; two sisters, Marie Miller and Bernadine Pereira; and stepsister, Helen Dineen.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at Becker and Son Funeral Home in Mount Olive. Rosary will be recited at 7:45 p.m. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2007, at Holy Trinity Church in Mount Olive with Father Larry Anschutz and Father Ted Schelich officiating. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Mount Olive. Memorials to Holy Trinity Cemetery or Mount Olive Ambulance Service. Lunch following the service at the Holy Trinity Hall served by the Holy Trinity Ladies.
