After extensive searching we cannot find a birth or baptismal certificate for Peter, either in the US or Luxembourg. He was not on the ship list with the rest of the family in May 1853 to the US. There is no entry in the St Donatus Church for a baptism. We've spent numerous hours with Robert Arens and if nothing is ever found we sort of surmised that he was born between the New York ship landing and St. Donatus. If he was born in 1852 it should show up in Luxembourg and also on the ship list.
