Nancy Jane Jeffries was born in Tennessee on Dec.27,1854 and departed this life at her home in Greenfield on Dec.1,1922; age 67 years,11 months, and 3 days old.
She moved with her parents James Jasper and Obedient (Wright) Jeffries when a small girl to Bentonville,Arkansas. In 1878 she married Isaac L Bigelow. To this union ten children were born ,three dying in infancy. The seven surviving were all present in her last sickness to minister to her wants.
Besides her children, she leaves her companion, with whom she journeyed for forty-four years; one brother , four sisters and nine grandchildren. She had been a member of the M.E. church since her girlhood days.

Funeral services were held at the Greenfield Christian Church on Saturday Dec.2nd,at 2:30 p.m.; and interment was made in Greenfield Cemetery.
