Stanley was born June 5, 1922, in Palacios, TX to Thomas and Vera Massey.
He served his country in the Navy during World War II. Stanley was a superintendent of the service department at Pioneer Natural Gas, retiring in 1979.
He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and the Palo Duro Masonic Lodge #1239.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vada Massey.
Survivors include two sons, Sam Massey and wife Sherry, and Dennis Massey and wife Viki, all of Amarillo, TX; two sisters, Billie Jo Burge, of Goliad, TX, and Delores Neese, of Waxahachie, TX; six grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
