John Cochran died at the home of his son, Bert Cochran, of Maxwell, Thursday, August 3, at the ripe old age of 89 years, 10 months and 12 days. Mr. Cochran was a very active man for his years. He settled in Lac qui Parle county in 1879. Three sons and four daughters survive him, three of them, Bert, John and Mrs. McMullen, are residents of this county. The funeral was held Saturday, Rev. Tebbets conducting the service.
