Victoria -- Catherine Billinger, 95, a lifetime resident of Victoria, died Tuesday night, April 21, at St. Anthony Hospital, Hays. She was born Oct. 11, 1885 in Victoria, the daughter of John and Magadalin (Windholz) Sander.
She married John Billinger on Nov. 10, 1903 at Victoria; he died Nov. 20, 1965.
She was a member of St. Fidelis Catholic Church and the Third Order of St. Francis.
Survivors include one son, Clarence, Hutchinson; four daughters, Mrs. Leo (Katherine) Kuhn, Victoria, Mrs. Ed (Irene) Schmidt, Hays, Mrs. Eddie (Alberta) Augustine and [foster child] Mrs. Gene (Mathilda) Kippes, both of Hays; one sister, Mrs. Anna Leiker, Victoria; 25 grandchildren, 60 great- grandchildren, and thee great-great- grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 25, at St. Fidelis Church, Victoria. Burial was in the church cemetery.
