Bob C. Humphreys, 85, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at St. Andrews Episcopal Church. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Memorials: In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vitas Hospice of Fort Worth.
Bob C. Humphreys was born on College Avenue on May 21, 1916, in Fort Worth. He was a graduate of Central High School. Bob retired from Texas Electric Service Co. in 1983, as senior information development specialist after more than 46 years of service.
Bob served with the 5th Air Force, 69th "Werewolves" Fighter Squadron in the South Pacific during World War II. He co-founded and was director of the 69th Werewolves Reunion Association.
Bob was a charter member and past member of the board of directors of Fort Worth Press Club; a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church; a lifetime member of Julian Feild Masonic Lodge, Boyd Lodge No. 479, Texas Chapter and Council, Scottish Rite Fort Worth Consistory, Moslah Temple, Worth Commandery.
Bob was a life member of VFW Camp Bowie Post No. 708, the Military Order of the Cootie Pup Tent 7, The American Legion Post No. 516, he was also Trustee for the 5th Air Force Memorial Foundation. Bob was also a member of P-47 Alumni Association, National and Texas State Rifle Association and the District 21 VFW Honor Guard.
Bob was past president of Fort Worth Professional Photographers Association, Corporate and Commercial Photographers of Texas and past director of Texas Professional Photographers Association.
Bob C. Humphreys was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Humphreys Hodge of Salina, Kan.
Survivors: Wife of 55 years, Elizabeth Anne Humphreys of Fort Worth; daughter, Martha Sue and husband, Lauren R. Pacini, of Shaker Heights, Ohio; sons, David H. Humphreys of Milaca, Minn., Charles C. Humphreys and wife, Karen, of Rusk, Robert Q. Humphreys of San Leon and John L. Humphreys of Arlington; foster son, Cliff Clayton and wife, Linda, of Granbury; grandsons, Lauren R. Pacini Jr. and Jeffrey B. Pacini, both of Ohio, Christopher K. Pacini of South Carolina, Darren D. Muriad of Fort Worth, Brent D. Nelson of Minnesota, Shawn R. Humphreys Walker of Fort Worth, Robert W. Huphreys and Samuel J. McCoy of San Leon, Van Bourland of Rusk; grandaughters, Elizabeth Ann and husband, David W. Clark of Ohio, Kathryn Humphreys of Fort Worth and Laci Humphreys of Rusk; great-grandchildren, Tristan J. Clark and Payton Clark, both of Ohio; nephew, Humphreys D. Hodge and wife, Barbara, of Augusta, Kan.; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
