DEATH OF MR. V. D. BOTTO
Mr. V. D. Botto, the venerable father of Mr. J. B. Botto, the artist, died at 10 o'clock last night in his rooms at the Wolff's Hotel on Market Street near Seventh. He had been sick only a few days and would have recovered from the severe cold with which he was afflicted but for his advanced age, being in his 87th year. Mr. Botto had been a resident of Louisville for nearly 60 years, spending the greater portion living in retirement. He came originally from Coregli, Italy, and on coming to American located at once in Louisville. The funeral will probably occur tomorrow afternoon but the arrangements have not been fully decided upon.
