Lula Pauline Gregory, age 96, of Hewitt, entered into rest Thursday, November 11, 2010. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, November 15, 2010 at Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Marlin with the Rev. Wes Perry officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday 6 to 8 P.M. at Adams.
Mrs. Gregory was born September 6, 1914 in Benton County, Mississippi to Edward Marvin and Lula Mae Daughety Goddard. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of First United Methodist Church of Marlin. She loved to sew, work in her garden and cook. She married Ward Gregory on October 4, 1943 in Ashland, Mississippi and he preceded her in death in 1997.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Lou Lux and husband Bill of Hewitt; brother, Louis Goddard of San Angelo; sisters, Frances Wolfe of Plano, Mary Jo Greer of Bartlett, Tennessee; grandchild, Greg Amber and wife Stacy of Lorena; great-grandchildren, Cade and Emalee Amber; other grandchildren, Eric and Leigh Ann; other great-grandchildren, Sarah, Mason, Christy, Makala, Aaron, Sammy and Megan
Pallbearers will be Howard Kroll, Charlie Kluck, Elton Ethridge, David Farrow, Beau Lewis and Michael Lux.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 411 Coleman St. Marlin, TX 76661.
Adams Funeral Home in Marlin will be in charge of arrangements.
